Mixing drum

Mixing drums are for remoisturising and mixing sintering mix prior to its loading onto the sintering machine. Mixing drums consist of a drum, rollers, a hopper, a remoisturising unit, a discharging chamber and its frame, and a lubrication system.

The drum is a hollow sheet-steel welded cylinder lined with wear-resistant material. One of its ends has a window for the hopper and the other end goes into the discharging chamber.

Design features:

  • Prevents mix sticking to the walls of the charging chute.
  • Equipped with pneumohydraulic nozzles which help use technical water.
